Iowa State Animal Learning Day

The 2019 Iowa State University Animal Learning Day was held on Saturday, April 6th at the Jeff and Deb Hansen Agriculture Learning Center on the Campus of Iowa State. Each sector of the livestock industry was represented with interactive displays and live animals for attendees to look at. WIDA assisted the ISU Dairy Science Club with their booth by providing Cow hats, coloring books, and educational materials to further educate attendees. The Dairy Science Club brought in baby calves for everyone to look at in addition to 3 jersey cows. The jerseys were available for anyone who wanted the opportunity to milk a cow by hand. A morning full of worship at 2019 Prayer Breakfast

The 2019 Central Plains Dairy Expo Prayer Breakfast was held on March 27th at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. Nearly 400 people attended the morning breakfast. This year Kris Bousquet was the featured speaker. Kris spoke about life experiences and how his relationship with God has growth stronger because of those experiences. Attendees were also fortunate to have the Cornerstone Quartet perform. The Quartet is from the Leon Minnesota Area and consists of Kent Van't Hof, Ron Christians, Myron Hulstein, Jim Knips, and Koni De Kam.
