Western Iowa Dairy Alliance to Hold Annual Meeting
For Immediate release - Orange City, Iowa- More than 100 members and industry partners will come together on Monday, January 28th to celebrate the Western Iowa Dairy Alliance (WIDA).
The Annual Meeting will begin with a social hour starting at 6 pm followed by a dinner and guest speaker at the Triple Box Event Center located at 4758 Ironwood Ave. south of Orange City.
“Our Annual Meeting is a time to celebrate the accomplishments of WIDA over the past year and to connect with fellow dairy farmers throughout the region,” said Evan Metzger, President of WIDA.
To Conclude the evening Sarina Sharp will serve as this year’s guest speaker.
Sarina Sharp is a dairy rick manager and market analyst. She helps several large dairies throughout the corn belt hedge their milk and feed. Two of these dairies are in Northwest Iowa and one nearby in South Dakota. She also writes regularly for the Daily Dairy Report and the California Milk Producers Council.
While Western Iowa Dairy Alliance serves as a regional organization promoting dairy, the organization, and its members are more involved said, Metzger.
“Our members serve on Midwest Dairy’s, Iowa State Dairy Association’s board and their Co-op Board. Members also participate in a number of farm tours for schools in addition to volunteering with WIDA during our Dairy Open House, the Clay County Fair, LaunchPAD Children’s Museum and other promotions events,” Metzger said.
