The 2019 Iowa State University Animal Learning Day was held on Saturday, April 6th at the Jeff and Deb Hansen Agriculture Learning Center on the Campus of Iowa State. Each sector of the livestock industry was represented with interactive displays and live animals for attendees to look at. WIDA assisted the ISU Dairy Science Club with their booth by providing Cow hats, coloring books, and educational materials to further educate attendees. The Dairy Science Club brought in baby calves for everyone to look at in addition to 3 jersey cows. The jerseys were available for anyone who wanted the opportunity to milk a cow by hand. ISU Dairy Science also had a display about the different types of feed additives that go into a cows diet. Overall the Iowa State Dairy Science Club did a fantastic job putting together a fun and interactive booth for attendees.
