Great Turnout for Breakfast on the Farm

The 2018 Breakfast on the Farm held at the Iowa Dairy Center in Calmar drew in nearly 1500 people. Attendees had the opportunity to take guided tours of the farm, going through the beef animal housing facility, free-stall barns, and ending at the robotic milkers. While attending Breakfast on the Farm, people could also visit the the Iowa Dairy History museum, which showcases equipment used on the farm, dairy shows throughout the state and historical changes in the dairy breeds. Breakfast on the Farm is a great way to learn the dairy industry and the products produced. It allows consumers to ask producers and industry professionals about the practices that are used in order to get the most milk possible.
