Great Day for an Open House
The 12th Annual Dairy Open House attracted over 1,000 people as part of Western Iowa Dairy Alliance's National Dairy Month activities at J&S Dairy. Governor Kim Reynolds arrived earlier in the day for the event and signed the dairy proclamation declaring June is Dairy Month in the state of Iowa. Gov. Reynolds also had the opportunity to tour the dairy farm and speak with local dairy farmers about the current issues impacting the dairy industry. Attendees had the opportunity to walk through the free stall barn that house the cows, meet the baby calves, and watch the Lely Robotic Milking system in action.
This event wouldn't be possible without the help of our sponsors and volunteers. It is because of your time and dedication that WIDA is able to continue to share our dairy stories across the region, helping consumers understand the importance of our industry and the impact we can have on our community.
